What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension, you will have the opportunity to serveas a strategic consultant to manage, plan, and implement clinical performance initiatives to create, implement, and evaluate multi-faceted competency-based programs, delivery mechanisms, and clinical performance that drive standardization and support achievement of the Quadruple Aim.

You will:

  • Consult on the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical learning programs and performance processes that support clinical competency.

  • Partner with clinical educators to support development and deployment of clinical performance and professional competency programs.

  • Support Clinical Professional Development programs to empower clinical educators, nursing, allied health, and pharmacy competency.

  • Manage performance and competency standards for interprofessional programs to support practice at the highest extent of licensure.

  • Maintain general oversight, configuration, improvement, and analytics of programs.

  • Consult on program evolution to involve research, design, implementation and support of Clinical Professional Development programs.

  • Deliver exceptional, standardized, curriculum, content, and learning experiences for achievement of Quadruple Aim, scorecard goals, and reduction of clinical variation.

  • Manage the clinical performance and effectiveness of learning programs to meet nursing, allied health, and pharmacy education competency standards.

  • Facilitate implementation of appropriate clinical professional development learning initiatives associated with organizational transition activities.

  • Work directly with business partners, project teams, and other leaders to enable change, communications, clinical learning, and clinical workforce capability development.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design effective clinical learning programs, design curriculum competency access, and empower standard behavior expectations of care providers.

  • Consult on complex, non-standardized and widely varied tasks and programs that require significant planning, evaluation and negotiation.

  • Work in community to devise new methods and procedures through the application of analytic and inductive thinking.

  • Support the alignment of clinical competency requirements across Regions and Markets to support the elimination of education disparities across the organization.

  • Research and implement interprofessional learning experiences and processes.

What You Will Need

Education &Work Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Level Degree Required.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Organizational Development or Education, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on learning required.

Three (3) or more year’s progressive experience in program management, design and delivery of clinical professional learning in a healthcare setting, leading teams in all phases of the project life cycle, and producing creative solutions required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Level Degree Preferred.

Master’s degree in Nursing, Organizational Development or Education, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or other equivalent curriculum that focuses on learning preferred.

Five (5) or more year’s progressive experience in program management, design and delivery of clinical professional learning in a healthcare setting, leading teams in all phases of the project life cycle, and producing creative solutions preferred.

Experience with the full spectrum of clinical professional development to include interprofessional simulation programs, clinical libraries, and continuing education credentialing processes.

Licensed Registered Nurse, allied health specialist, or similar patient care experience preferred.

Effectiveness in this role requires in depth knowledge of/experience with:
