What You Will Do

As an Arrest Authority Security Guard with St.Vincent, you will have the opportunity to providesecurity services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

You will:

  • Performproactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.

  • Investigate, documentand managesecurity incidents and hazards.

  • Maintainknowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.

  • Provideinformation and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.

  • Providefollow-up with local prosecution, law enforcement and court systems as applicable.

  • Haveauthority to arrest for both felonies and misdemeanors under applicable law.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

  • Certificationspecializing inPeace Officerobtained within12 Months (1 year)of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Security Guardspecializing inConcealed Weaponobtained within12 Months (1 year)of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
