Ascension Health Supervisor - Behavioral Health in Indianapolis, Indiana

  • Schedule: Full Time - 40 hr/wk - Day Shift -

  • Hours for this position will vary but will be Monday-Friday and generally will fall within the hours of 7am and 5pm.

This position is for a supervisor who will be responsible for managing the counseling and behavioral tech associates who are placed in Westfield Washington Schools who are providing outpatient therapy and skills training to individuals, families, and couples.

Eligible candidates should have a FULL licensure and a minimum of 5 years of experience providing mental health therapy including specific experience working with youth patients.

This is a year round position.

Preferred candidates would also have supervision and/or other commensurate leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise the behavioral health program.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.

  • Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff on performance expectations. Apply progressive discipline when appropriate. Participate in hiring and termination procedures.

  • Coordinate patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the achievement of desired outcomes.

  • Participate in direct delivery of care depending on patient census. Complete patient evaluations and treatments as needed.

  • Direct, oversee, coordinate, and control the admission, customer service representatives, and case management departments in accordance with the established policies and procedures and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; regulatory agencies; and third-party payers.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Clinical Counselor obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Counselor credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Psychologist credentialed from the Indiana Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Social Worker credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

Eligible candidates must have a master’s in counseling, social Work, or another related field and must have a clinical license LMHC, LCAC, LMFT, or LCSW.
